Our setting out and engineering surveys provide the important information that the workers on the ground need to carry out their works.
We can provide a range of services in this field, from staking out the positions of boreholes, monitoring wells and trial pits for site investigation projects, through to setting out information for roads and sewers or plot works. We can also assist piling contractors with the setting out of pile locations, and return visits to enable the rig to run efficiently with less downtime.

What is setting out?
Setting out is an important first step in getting the information from drawings onto the ground. Depending on the project we use a mix of total stations and GPS technology to accurately stake out any given points or lines from drawings, for workers on site to follow for the successful completion of the build. We usually take information from drawings provided to us prior to arrival on site.

- Owned, maintained equipmentWe use Trimble survey equipment which is owned by us and fully maintained. Service and calibration certificates are available on request.
- Pins, pegs & profilesUsed on site to display the setting out on the ground.
- Points stored for the recordAny points and information that are set out are stored for our records — this can prove our accuracy on the project at a later date, or be handed over for QA purposes.
- Proof after completionAll setting out information proof can be provided to the client after completion on site, in a format of their choice if stated prior to commencement.
